LG Electronics Achieves Record Revenue and Profit in Q2

by admin477351

LG Electronics has achieved its best-ever financial performance for the second quarter, largely due to high demand in the sectors of home appliances, vehicle components, and HVAC systems. The company announced a preliminary operating profit of 1.58 trillion won, equivalent to $1.04 billion, marking a substantial 146.9% growth compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, revenue increased by 14.9% to reach 23.83 trillion won, exceeding market forecasts.

Over the first six months of the year, LG reported revenues of 47.56 trillion won and an operating profit of 3.25 trillion won, both of which are new records for the company. These impressive figures were driven by increased sales in key segments, enhanced cost efficiency, and the expansion of subscription services. Additionally, the growth of webOS and stronger online sales contributed to these results.

The primary contributors to LG’s growth were its home appliance, vehicle solutions, and HVAC divisions. The rising demand for premium home appliances and automotive infotainment systems, along with cooling solutions, particularly in Europe amid recent heatwaves, played a significant role in boosting the company’s performance.

LG underscored its commitment to future growth by continuing to invest in emerging technologies. This includes AI data center cooling technologies and advanced robotics components, areas where the company sees potential for further expansion and innovation.
